Buffalo Overlook

As advertised!! The Buffalo were there. A few little calfs too which was very cute. Make sure to stay away from the fence. The biker path next to the highway allows for a closer look while maintaining distance, and in the summer it’s full of wildflowers! Also, parking is free and available.

Small parking area off to the side of the road to get pretty close to view the bison! Follow the signs and stay along the foot path to keep 3 feet away from the fence

Buffalo Overlook might be one of the most underrated spot in Colorado. As soon as you reach here, you can never miss the gentle giants grazing around and putting such a show for the spectators. Also the most scenic i70 westbound mountain view can be captured from the overbridge beside this spot. There is a designated parking spot for the visitors as well.

Needed some mountain time.....this stop is great....but was cloudy the day we were there !

Absolutely gorgeous animals, we stayed there for 30 minutes just watching them and they had their babies with them as well. So glad we were able to catch them at our time in Colorado.
